Smart Cities

A Smart City can be described as a city that applies information and communication technology to aim for the goal of having infrastructure and services to guarantee sustainable development, increased quality of life for citizens, greater resource efficiency, the correct broadcasting of any information that is generated and active participation by inhabitants.

Many of the proposals considered as part of the Smart City were implemented some time ago and have been providing a service to citizens for years. The current aim is to give these services greater intelligence and, above all, to connect them together for the purpose of achieving sustainable development. Therefore, a Smart City includes a range of different technologies.
