ATMS (Advanced Traffic Management System) for the Windsor-Essex Parkway Project
Supply, installation, integration, commissioning and maintenance for 2 years of ITS traffic surveillance, control and regulation of traffic on the highway and in tunnels. The Windsor-Essex project is an 11 km-long corridor, of which 1.8 km are in 13 tunnels, including the respective green areas.
The scope of the work includes:
- Supply, installation, integration and commissioning of ITS and tunnel management systems.
- Maintenance for 2 years of ITS traffic surveillance, control and regulation of traffic on the highway, including 13 tunnels.
As a brief summary the most important managed equipment includes:
- A full lighting system.
- Rain water management installations.
- Full traffic management system, including the installation, testing and integration of video surveillance components, as well as the installation of vehicle detectors and variable message panels to provide information about the road to users.
To all of this is added the implementation of communications infrastructure and the integration of any necessary software applications for the correct operation of ATMS equipment from the control centre.
